Datacenter Solutions
The datacenter is the core of your IT operations — housing the servers, storage, networking, and applications that power your business. Kernel Group delivers comprehensive datacenter solutions covering every layer, from the physical facility and power infrastructure to compute platforms, storage, virtualization, and the applications that run on top.
Whether you are building a new datacenter, expanding an existing one, or modernizing legacy infrastructure, we design and implement solutions that meet your performance, availability, and security requirements — with physical infrastructure delivered through our network of specialized partners.
Datacenter Solutions
Physical Infrastructure & Facility
The foundation of every datacenter — structured cabling, fiber optics, power distribution, UPS, backup generators, precision cooling, fire detection and suppression, physical security, and rack systems, delivered through our specialized infrastructure partners.
Datacenter Networking
High-performance network fabrics designed for datacenter environments — spine-leaf architectures, east-west traffic optimization, LAN, SAN (iSCSI, FC, NVMe-oF, NVMe/TCP), network segmentation, and low-latency interconnects for demanding workloads.
Server & Compute Platforms
Enterprise-grade server infrastructure — rack-mount servers, blade systems, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and high-density compute platforms from leading vendors, sized and configured for your specific workload requirements.
Storage & Data Protection
Scalable storage solutions across all tiers — SAN, NAS, object storage, all-flash arrays, hybrid storage, backup and replication, disaster recovery, and cyber vault strategies to protect your data against loss, corruption, and ransomware.
Virtualization & Cloud Platforms
Server and desktop virtualization using VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox — private cloud platforms, resource pooling, workload mobility, and infrastructure abstraction for maximum efficiency and flexibility.
Cybersecurity & Network Segmentation
Datacenter security at every layer — next-gen firewalls, micro-segmentation, intrusion prevention, east-west traffic inspection, access control, and zero-trust policies to protect critical workloads and sensitive data.
Business Applications & Databases
Deployment and integration of enterprise software — operating systems, databases, middleware, ERP, CRM, collaboration platforms, and business-critical applications configured for performance, availability, and interoperability.
Monitoring, Automation & Orchestration
End-to-end datacenter visibility — DCIM, infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, alerting, and automation tools to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and ensure proactive management of your environment.
Datacenter Tier Standards
Datacenters are classified into four tiers according to the Uptime Institute standards. Each tier defines a specific level of redundancy, availability, and fault tolerance — higher tiers provide greater uptime guarantees for mission-critical operations.
Tier I — Basic Capacity
Single path for power and cooling distribution with no redundant components — suitable for small businesses where occasional downtime is acceptable.
Tier II — Redundant Capacity
Single path for power and cooling distribution with redundant components — provides additional resilience against equipment failures.
Tier III — Concurrently Maintainable
Multiple active power and cooling distribution paths with redundant components — allows maintenance without service interruption.
Tier IV — Fault Tolerant
Multiple active paths with fully redundant, fault-tolerant design — the highest level of availability for mission-critical operations.
